We received confirmation from the American Consulate in China yesterday. Our appointment is scheduled for April 1, 2008. Our agency's travel agent had e-mailed a tentative itinerary by yesterday evening and we got the details ironed out this morning and purchased our plane tickets. Our travel will go something like this:
March 20th-Leave OKC for Chicago; leave Chicago for Beijing
March 21st- Arrive in Beijing & hopefully have some time to rest and recuperate
March 22nd-Tour Beijing with other families in our agency with agency guide
March 23rd- Fly to Piper's province, Jiangsu; capital city Nanjing
March 23rd or 24th-GOTCHA DAY (This is when we meet our little Piper!)
March 28th-Fly to Guangzhou
April 1-American Consulate appt.
April 2-Adoption oath at Consulate; pick up her passport and visa
April 3-Fly from Guangzhou to Hong Kong; Hong Kong to SanFrancisco; San Francisco toDenver; Denver to OKC; whew! I'm already tired just thinking about it!
**Neat website describing her province and city (Wuxi City is where she is): www.jiangsu.net
**Please pray for safe and easy travel and Piper's comfort level during this whole process. Thank you all so much for your support & prayers!
Now that we're home, follow our adventures as we continue our journey with Piper.

Mary,
I bet you guys are so excited!!! I can't wait to follow your journey. The Johnson's have been fun to keep up with. They seem to be doing well, but I am sure they are ready to come home. You will stay in my prayers. God Bless you, Gina

Yeah, Downing family! You are so lucky to have Piper join your family and she is very fortunate, too! We can't wait to meet her and wish you all a safe and wonderful trip to China and back again. See you soon. Love, the Hampton family~!
